Kelly Slater has done it again. He has captured the Billabong Pro JBay Championship 2003 held in South Africa. Although Michael Jordan couldn't prevail in his comeback to win another title in basketball, Kelly Slater is getting mad props after coming back and winning this years Billabong Pro in Tahiti and now the Billabong Pro in South Africa. Slater stated he was chilling in NYC and missed his flight to South Africa. "I feel so good, it came together for me."
For all those player haters who said Kelly was to old, and he wouldn't be able to make a comeback, you better check yourself. Mr. Slater is now sitting in second place for the World Championship. He's only 660 points away from the leader of the Pack, Andy Irons(Kauai,Hawaii).

Known as the best surfer on the Planet, Kelly doesn't dissapoint representing for all East Coast surfers. This years Jeffreys Bay finals was an all Floridian contingency with the new hollywood movie star/surfer Damien Hobgood coming in second place. Throughout the surfing industry the East Coast always takes a back seat to places like Cali,Hawaii,and Australia. With Kelly's return to rare form and CJ and Damien making power moves, East Coast is back by popular demand. Expect some gnarly things from up and coming East Coast militia Ben Bourgeois.
